The E. W. Morris Memorial Library Building that forms the historic front wing of the Ridgefield Library opened its doors for the first time on June 22, 1903. The Library is celebrating 120 years of continuous public service in this beautiful building and the community is invited to contribute their memories of the Library and its place in their lives. This special project seeks to reveal and share as much of the Ridgefield Library’s rich history as possible with fellow residents.
.
The submission process is free and easy, and you are welcome to submit as many items as you'd like. Some ideas of what to submit are pictures, old Library cards, programs, fliers, maps, posters and other memorabilia. We'd also love your library memories, stories, favorite events, favorite librarians and Library staff, and what the Library means to you. These can be typed documents, audio recordings and videos. By uploading items, you give permission to the Ridgefield Library Association to publicize on, but not limited to, our website, social media channels, newsletters, etc.
Once submitted, your item will be reviewed and uploaded to a special Morris Building 120th Anniversary Community Collection.
